Request for Proposals: Barn Siding
The Village of Bull Valley is seeking proposals for siding on the Village barn at 11114 Country Club Road. Proposals may be submitted to Jim Arquilla, Bull Valley Village Hall, 1904 Cherry Valley Road, Bull Valley IL 60098, hotbuild67@gmail.com 815-455-6551 by March 15, 2025.
The scope of work includes:
- Remove existing siding on entire barn.
- Replace any bad wood behind siding to match thickness.
- Install Tyke moisture barrier to entire barn.
- Install 2.3 wood around all windows and doors.
- Install Pro-Rib 38 inch seamless 29-guage grade 80 class 4 hail resistance and 200 MPH wind resistance steel siding with custom corners.
- All flashing and caulking shall be installed by contractor.
- Remove all debris from site.
Contractor shall provide a one year warranty against defects in materials and/or workmanship. Contractor must have commercial liability insurance in the amount of $1,000,000 and provide a certificate naming the Village as an additional insured. Contractor shall have all statutorily required workerss compensation insurance. Work to begin no later than April 1, 2025. Contract shall be performed within 4 weeks’ time, weather permitting. The Village is subject to prevailing wage law. The Village shall require contractor to provide copies of all records of wages paid to all laborers, workers and mechanics on the project.
Contract shall be awarded to the lowest responsible bidder. The Village reserves the right to reject all bids and waive any items in bids which do not conform to the bidding request.
